Oshen PC13 complete's the Microtransat Challenge

September 13th 2026

At approximately 08:25 UTC today Oshen PC13 reached its target zone within 25km of the Western Microtransat finish line. This makes it the first boat to complete the the East to West Microtransat route and the first to complete the challenge in the Autonomous division. PC13 has travelled nearly 5000 km in 117 days since starting near the Canary Islands on May 19th. The result is still provisional and awaits a final jury decision.

Over the last sixteen years there have been 37 unsuccessful attempts and only one successful attempt from SB Met in 2018.

The Microtransat Challenge will continue. Several titles are still to be claimed including completing the West to East (America to Europe) route in the autonomous division and the non-sailing class. Then there will always be the challenge of completing the crossing faster, during the winter and with smaller or cheaper boats than before.
